1) Make Discovery Church your home!

2)Fill out the DC Worship & Production Form on the Worship & Production page of our website.

3) Have a personal conversation with the Worship Pastor. Be prepared to discuss and share more about your personal faith journey and your family dynamics.

4) Submit to the audition process. This process may include, but is not limited to, 1 or 2 skills auditions, further interviews, sharing musical background, other information about joining DC Worship, sharing your salvation testimony, etc. Any questions or concerns can also be addressed at this time.

5) If chosen to join the team, new members will be scheduled as a sub only during the current schedule and then be scheduled regularly in the next rotation as needed. Audio/Video technicians must attend rehearsal nights and services when requested and coordinate training with Worship Pastor and lead technician.

6) Church staff will be informed and updated so that they can affirm the candidate in the selection process.

2) Communicate the breadth of the gospel of Jesus and help weave a connecting thread between musical worship, prayer and spoken Word.

3) Lead and produce with excellence without adopting a performance attitude.

4) Facilitate an atmosphere that is conducive to the Holy Spirit’s ministry.

5) Encourage the disheartened and strengthen the weary.

6) Encourage and develop the use of creative arts in our in-person and online gatherings and the church body.

7) Remove distractions so that people can engage Jesus freely and openly.

The Elder Board and Lead Pastor are head over all ministries within the church. DC Worship & Production is facilitated and led by the Worship Pastor, who also participates as a part of the Preaching Team. We have a ministry leadership team comprised of 4-5 team members that help lead the ministry, keep a pulse on team chemistry and resource the Worship Pastor to provide perspective and input.

1) Communicate directly with the Worship Pastor about any problems, concerns or obstacles that affect the team or our stated objectives.

2) Attend all rehearsals and services you are scheduled for as well as other DC Worship & Production meetings as they are needed.

3) Be sensitive in dress and appearance due to leadership role from the platform or in the booth.

4) Assist and support the Worship Pastor in their responsibilities as requested.

5) Pray for Discovery Church, pastors & congregation, as well as fellow DC Worship & Production team members.

6) Adopt a lifestyle of worship and be an example of a true follower of Jesus Christ in everyday conduct.
